Who we are and how to contact us

NAPTA Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this notice. We respect your privacy. This notice explains how we use information when you visit napta.co.uk, purchase products or contact us, including through our wholesale enquiry form.

For privacy questions or requests, email info@napta.co.uk or write to NAPTA Ltd, 116 Norfolk Crescent, Manchester, M35 0NS, United Kingdom.

Information we use

We use information you provide when placing an order or contacting us. This includes your name, email address, telephone number, company details, billing and delivery details, order information and correspondence. Wholesale enquiries may also include your country or region, products required, quantities, intended application and interest in quotes or samples.

Payments are processed through Stripe or PayPal. Payment and transaction information is used to administer purchases, refunds and payment queries. The relevant payment provider also handles information under its own privacy notice.

Operating a website can involve technical information, such as connection information and cookies needed for security, shopping baskets and website functions. Please do not include unnecessary sensitive personal information in enquiry forms.

Purposes and legal bases

  • Orders and requested quotes: to take steps at your request before a contract and to perform a contract with you, including administering payment, fulfilment and customer service.
  • General and business enquiries: our legitimate interests in answering questions and maintaining customer and business relationships. This basis also applies when you act as a contact for a company purchasing from us.
  • Legal obligations: to maintain records and respond to requests where applicable law requires us to do so.
  • Security and disputes: our legitimate interests in protecting customers and our business, preventing misuse and resolving problems.
  • Marketing: consent where required, or legitimate interests where marketing without consent is permitted by applicable law, subject to your right to object.

Information marked as required in a form is needed to deal with that request. Without the information needed for payment or delivery, we may be unable to complete your order. Optional fields can be left blank.

Promotional emails

We may send promotional emails only where applicable law permits. For individual subscribers in the UK, this means consent or a valid customer soft opt-in. The soft opt-in applies to our own similar products or services where details were obtained during a sale or negotiations for a sale and an opportunity to opt out was provided both when collecting the details and in every marketing email. An unsubscribe option in the first email alone does not establish a soft opt-in.

Different rules can apply to corporate business contacts. Applicable requirements for overseas recipients must also be respected. Every promotional email must identify NAPTA and provide a way to unsubscribe. You can also object to direct marketing at any time by emailing info@napta.co.uk. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully.

Who information may be shared with

We do not sell customer personal information. We use Webtronex for website hosting, Stripe and PayPal for payments, and delivery service providers where needed to fulfil orders. Information may also be disclosed to professional advisers or authorities where necessary to obtain advice, meet legal obligations or protect legal rights. Information shared should be limited to what is necessary for the relevant purpose.

Hosting and international processing

Webtronex is based in Canada. A provider's business address does not necessarily identify the locations of its servers, backups or support operations. Payment and other service providers may process information in more than one country.

Where a transfer of personal information outside the UK is subject to UK transfer rules, an applicable adequacy arrangement, appropriate safeguards or another permitted legal basis is required. Contact info@napta.co.uk to request information about the arrangements relevant to your information and any applicable safeguards.

Retention

Our retention period for enquiry records is five years from the enquiry date, and for order records five years from the order date. A specific legal requirement or an ongoing dispute may require relevant records to be retained longer. Information should not be kept longer than necessary for its purpose. Limited records of marketing objections may be retained to ensure that an opt-out continues to be respected.

Cookies

Our website may use cookies needed for essential functions, including shopping baskets, sessions and preferences. We do not use website analytics or advertising cookies. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working. If we introduce optional cookies requiring consent, consent must be obtained before they are used and a way to withdraw it must be provided.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access your personal information, correct inaccurate information, request deletion, restrict processing, object to processing or obtain a portable copy of certain information. These rights are subject to applicable conditions and exemptions. You have the right to object to the use of your personal information for direct marketing.

Contact info@napta.co.uk to exercise your rights. We may need information to verify your identity. We will respond within the time limits required by applicable law.

Complaints

Please contact us if you are concerned about how your information is used. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. You do not need to contact us before raising a concern with the regulator.

Changes to this notice

We may update this notice when our practices change. The date above identifies the latest update. Material changes will be brought to your attention where required.
